Should we remove the ".:" stuff before the links? I think so since links are signified by an underline.
--Chris Cromer 02:08, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT)
hmm, well .: is quite visible and does not disturb the view, oh well, don't really care as long there's something that is clear
yes I agree, get rid of em. also, I dont think the date is necessary, as it says it at the bottom anyway.
--Cosmicr 02:11, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT)
You know it would be nice for you to use the signature with timestamp button at the top and put a horizontal line at the end of your post. That way we know who posted what. ;)
--Chris Cromer 02:13, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT)
--Cosmicr 02:15, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT) Okay, we'll make that a standard from now on then.
No problem with that
--Sami Tervo 02:16, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT)
I think the agidev.com thing should be removed, and we should make a section dedicated to off-site links.
--Chris Cromer 02:16, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Offsite AGI related links could probably be included in the community portal page.
--Cosmicr 02:20, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Ok, well let me delete the links page I created and move the links to it.
--Chris Cromer 02:22, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Call me blind but somehow I don't see anywhere how to create a new page from scratch.
--Sami Tervo 02:33, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT)
That's because there isn't a visible way to do it. You type in a url that doesn't exist. As example, when I created the links page I typed in http://www.agigames.com/agiwiki/index.php/AGI_Links. Then from that page I clicked the edit link. Then I entered in some content and saved it. And boom you have a new page.
--Chris Cromer 02:53, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT)
I've added my article on drawing pics in Picedit http://www.agigames.com/agiwiki/index.php/Picedit <- here. How can I make Picture in the main page's Data-types [ Logic ] [ Picture ] [ View ] [ Sound ] link to it? Seems like I'm not allowed to edit it.
--Kon-Tiki 21:26, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT)
I think Picture should link to information about what picture resources are and their format, and provide links to pages like PicEdit. I don't think it should take you directly to the tutorial.
--Joel 21:28, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT)
yes I agree. I moved it to a new title Picedit_Tutorial
--Cosmicr 21:30, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Also, to create a link, enclose it in double square brackets...if you want to link to something but use different text, put something like this in double square brackets:
picture|picture resource
This would use the text "picture resource" to link to the page "picture", like this: picture resource.
--Joel 21:31, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT)
What he means is use this to make an internal link:
[[picture|picture resource]]
You can use the nowiki tags to show stuff to people. ;)
--Chris Cromer 22:02, 3 Aug 2005 (CDT)
hey chris, how about changing the main image from the flower to something else?
--Cosmicr 21:10, 8 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Give me an image, and I will change it.
Oh and just so you guys know, on the 19th of this month my host will be doing maintenance. So my site will be down anywhere from half an hour to an hour.
--Chris Cromer 12:23, 10 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Instead of "AGI Studio" and "Tutorials and Guides", I'd prefer to see "Playing AGI games" and "Creating and editing AGI games".
"Playing AGI games" would have info on how to get the games running on Windows version whatever, Linux, Mac OS, GBA, Pocket PC, mobile phones...
I just think it would be clearer that way. What are your thoughts on this?
--StrangeQuark 04:21, 17 Aug 2005 (CDT)
I made a logo. I hope you like it.
It has the same dimensions as the flower logo, so you should have no problems replacing it.
--StrangeQuark 12:30, 19 Aug 2005 (CDT)
Sorry it took so long to replace the image, I didn't notice your message in here. Oh and I do think that's a good idea about the "playing games" and "creating games" links instead of what we have now. Feel free to do it.

Hi
Somebody has visited mega.tokyo messageboard today? I can't access it today.
And about AGI Wiki. For some reasons, I was not logged today but I was yesterday. Could be a bug?
--Robin Gravel 08:18, 14 Oct 2005 (CDT)
The mega-tokyo forum is working for me. And no it's not a bug, your cookie has probably expired. Mine expired too. And it will expire again, it's the way cookies are designed, you set an expiration date on them when they are created. For instance on the mega-tokyo forum it's set to expire after a year. So after a year since you logged into mega-tokyo it will log you out. Same for my boards, the cookies expire after a year.
--Chris Cromer 17:20, 15 Oct 2005 (CDT)
Thanks for the info.
But the AgiWiki part looks like the cookies are expired sonner than one year.
--Robin Gravel 20:40, 15 Oct 2005 (CDT)
Yes I know, and I have no control over that unless I modify the wiki software. But's it's such a hassle for little benefit.
So not a bug, it's the way the software is designed.

About Mega-Tokyo board
Hi

--Robin Gravel 14:11, 29 Nov 2005 (CST)
I havent been having any trouble. are you using this url: http://www.mega-tokyo.com/forum/index.php ?
--Cosmicr 17:00, 30 Nov 2005 (CST)
Yes
--Robin Gravel 18:58, 30 Nov 2005 (CST)
hmm I'm not quite sure. what error are you getting? maybe you've changed your security settings or something like that?
--Cosmicr 19:44, 30 Nov 2005 (CST)
Hmm...
I didn't change anything.
Internet Explorer: 'server not found.
Netscape: 'the operation timed out when attempting to contact www.mega-tokyo.com'.
Peharp, I got a bad program to block to go to mega-tokyo.
--Robin Gravel 20:41, 30 Nov 2005 (CST)
maybe its a problem with your ISP. maybe dns server is down or something??? also do you use a proxy? it might be that.
--Cosmicr 20:49, 30 Nov 2005 (CST)
How can I change the proxy setting?
I found spywares and removed them but I still not access to mega-tokyo yet.
--Robin Gravel 09:18, 1 Dec 2005 (CST)
I can access to mega-tokyo today.
Thanks anyway
--Robin Gravel 09:52, 2 Dec 2005 (CST)
like the new look; how do you guys feel about adding a "Troubleshooting" type link to the front page that goes to known common problems and how to solve them?
--Joel 09:25, 4 Mar 2006 (CST)
Hello,
I'm new to this wiki, only did too few stuff, like putting years on the list of Sierra adventure games and adding ScummVM as AGI interpeter and a few more platforms on the list. I want to collabore more but not know what to do.
Sadly, seems this wiki is nearly dead, I hope this changes again :)
It could be nice about this wiki having some collaboration with the ScummVM one (http://wiki.scummvm.org), since they now assimilated Sarien as an AGI engine, they are still fixing stuff and adapting it to the coding manner (like C++, for example) but actually is quite usable. I think the AGI section will can be expanded greatly with information from this wiki :)
Regards, Timofonic 23:56, 10 Jun 2006 (CDT)
Hi Timofonic
First I moved your message to bottom because recent messages are in bottom to keep logic.
AGI wiki is not dead. If the agiwiki was not edited recently, that because the people don't have anything to say about agi. Myself, if I add more games, I write them here.
Robin Gravel
--Robin Gravel 08:24, 11 Jun 2006 (CDT)
Ok, sorry
That's nice to know, thanks for reply. I hope ScummVM wiki gets more collaboration, specially on the AGI engine part, because it lacks too much information that this wiki has. I can help on whatever you want about the wiki, just say it.
Timofonic 10:15, 11 Jun 2006 (CDT)
hi timofonic. robin's right - there really isnt much to do for the wiki. All the main stuff is taken care of, the only stuff left is the arduous task of documenting all the functions of logic(about half is done), maybe some of the internal interpreter stuff, and writing up pages for all the games (see Fan Made Games). But yeah if the agi aspect of scummvm really takes off, I cant see why the wiki's cant be merged into a giant mecca classic gaming wiki.
--Cosmicr 09:32, 15 Jun 2006 (CDT)
Hello again. I did some small changes in the list of AGI engines. Any news for this 2007? :)
Timofonic 07:01, 22 Jan 2007 (CST)
Well why don't we link the 2 wiki's? For the AGI stuff have it link to this one, and for the scumm stuff link to there. And it won't require
anything on my part since anyone can edit these wikis in any manner they want.
--Chris Cromer 17:11, 23 Jan 2007 (CST)
That's a good idea, ask to the ScummVM Team about this. Remember I'm not part of the project, just a user that likes adventure games and with an obscure past...
--Timofonic 19:46, 25 Jan 2007 (CST)
Hello to all...
Read this: http://www.scummvm.org/?shownews=20070130.xml
Here a short resume:
//// Jan. 30th, 2007: AGI Game Testing/Documenting
We need you, the ScummVM users, to go write a description for the wiki using the syntax written in this forum post. Then, post it there as well. This way, the wiki editors can post it on the wiki.
In addition, we ask that you test both Sierra's AGI games and fan made games using ScummVM. As usual, you will need a daily build. However, we ask that you check if a bug in an AGI fan game is present in the original interpreter as well. If you find any bugs, please report them to the bug tracker. ////
To the agiwiki owners and admins: What about talking with ScummVM about merging this wiki or collaboring? --Timofonic 17:32, 30 Jan 2007 (CST)
- I think you need ask that from Chris Cromer, the owner of this wiki. --Sami 15:47, 25 March 2008 (CDT)
It's O.K. for me to mention ScummVM in agiwiki because it can run agi games as well scumm games but do not merge with scumm wiki. Agi wiki is about anything with agi.
I disagree seeing agi games in scumm wiki because ScummVM can run agi games or people might think agi and scumm are the same engine.
