| About AGI | | AGI is the system Sierra used in the late 80's to make 3-D Adventure Games. AGI stands for Adventure Game Interpreter. There were quite a few different versions of AGI and it was also ported to many other OS's such as Apple IIgs, Amiga, Atari ST, Mac, PC and Tandy. The games that were made in AGI are Space Quest 1 and 2, King's Quest 1, 2, 3, and 4, The Black Cauldron, Donald Ducks Playground, Police Quest 1, Leisure Suit Larry 1, Mixed Up Mother Goose, 5 Demos, and a Christmas Demo. AGI was later abandoned for a much more advanced system called SCI. AGI games had a typing interface which is completely unlike their newer games with a point and click interface. The graphics are good(for the time they came out). The resolution of these games are 160 x 200 x 16 colors and they did not have support for mouse(in the pc versions). But now with lots of patches you can play AGI games with sound through your speakers, 256 colors, and mouse support. |
